Invest in wildlife conservation

The Recovering America's Wildlife Act is the most significant investment in wildlife conservation in a generation. It's also the only federal conservation program that guarantees sustained funding for Native Nations. Earlier this June, the bill passed in the House of Representatives, and now, it's the Senate's turn to advance this important legislation quickly. Ask your Senators to support The Recovering America's Wildlife Act and urge a vote in the Senate.

Dear your U.S. senators,

I am writing to ask you to support and help pass the Recovering America's Wildlife Act (S. 2372). This bipartisan legislation would support the recovery of thousands of at-risk species and their habitats by providing dedicated funding to state, local, and tribal efforts to conserve and restore wildlife populations. Fully one-third of the fish and wildlife species in the United States are at risk of becoming threatened or endangered, and more than 12,000 species need proactive conservation efforts. That is why passage of this bill is so important.

S. 2372 would also be the only federal conservation program that would guarantee sustained funding for Native Nations. S. 2372 would fund the efforts of states, territories, and tribes to lead the way in conserving America's vulnerable wildlife species and turning the tide on the extinction crisis. Through federal support to these proactive and often locally driven efforts, we can prevent species from becoming endangered in the first place and restore populations of our country's unique and amazing wildlife.

The House of Representatives passed the Recovering America's Wildlife Act on June 14, 2022. Now it is the Senate's turn to act. I urge you to work with your colleagues and urge a vote on S. 2372 to ensure US government leadership on wildlife conservation here at home.

Sincerely,
