The Santa Cruz River, the last free-flowing glacial river running from the Andes to the sea, relies on Lake Argentino which depends on several glaciers including Perito Moreno—one of Argentina's most important glaciers. The Argentine government is currently planning to build a hydroelectric complex that will alter the natural course of this ecosystem.
If the Condor Cliff-La Barrancosa dams are built as planned, the Santa Cruz River and the Perito Moreno Glacier as we know them may be destroyed. We still have time to put a stop to this project, but we need you to speak up.
Sign our petition to President Macri of Argentina to keep the Santa Cruz healthy and free-flowing.
