    Birthdays that give back

Kendall, Hailey and Zachary love animals. In recent years, their parents added a giving component to celebrating their birthdays to teach, “it’s not just about getting stuff, they can also celebrate their life by helping others.” Eight-year old Kendall suggested helping save animals. Hailey, 6, loves turtles and doesn’t want them to die, and Zachary, 4, loves penguins. The kids included their Panda Nation page on party invitations. Family and friends contributed before and during the party with a laptop set up for guests to donate. The kids had fun watching the green status bar on their page fill up!

    Cycling for our planet

Jimin’s parents inspired his entire family to support WWF. He set an ambitious goal to complete the Camino de Santiago in one week and persuaded a friend and his father to join. Their nearly 620 mile journey started in France by bike, crossed over the Pyrenees, arriving in Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Jimin raised nearly $5,000 with the help of friends and family in the UK and US, sharing he’s “truly global citizen (being American, British, French and half-Korean). I am naturally drawn to the global nature of WWF. The scale of the environmental challenge my generation inherits is of course also global in scale.”
