We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to our amazing supporters who raced for the love of our planet’s waters, wildlife, and wild places. We hope you had an amazing experience and were able to connect with the nature that you helped protect.

FAQs

You need to be 18 years or older to sign up for this challenge. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must register you for this race. You must be at least 13 years old to download the Charge Running app.

While this event is a competitive race geared towards runners, you can choose to walk or jog if you'd like. The app also provides an option to listen in to the program instead of participating. This is a race, and we don't want you to feel discouraged, so if a race is not your speed, we do have other events throughout the year geared towards walking or stepping including our Virtual 5K for Nature in June, our Panda Paddle event in August and our Species Step Challenge in October.

Once registered, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to the event and a personalized code for you to use to sign up for the race. Please do not share this code with anyone else! If you cannot find this email, please reach out to us at pandanation@wwfus.org and we can help get you the link and code. You can also navigate to the event through the app, if you search the event on February 14th, you can sign up and enter your code and then add it to your calendar.

The Charge Running app will track your distance, pace, and update their leaderboard in real time! If you are running on a treadmill make sure to connect to WiFi and keep your phone on your body. If you are running outside, it is best to turn off WiFi.

Wear whatever makes you comfortable and remember to dress for the weather wherever you are. If you're running on a treadmill, you will need to keep your phone on your body to accurately count your distance. One way we encourage showing your love for nature is to dress in your favorite wildlife or nature themed apparel!

Not a problem! The day following the event we will be sending out a link to listen to an on-demand version of the event through February 21! While you won’t be able to hear the live updates or participate in the chat, you will be able to listen to the entire race and Charge Running will update the leaderboard with your information.
