READY TO GET ON BOARD FOR NATURE?

You, WWF, a paddle. On a mission to save the planet's wild waters and natural places. Going into its third year, Panda Paddle has something for everyone.

Between August 21–23, 2020 you can join with nature lovers all over the country by enjoying your favorite paddle sport on your favorite body of water with WWF's Virtual Panda Paddle.

This year's event offers a couple of exciting ways to participate:

Recreational Paddle

Nature provides a solace that has never been more important to our physical and mental health. The Recreational Panda Paddle is a way to connect with nature by being in it.

How you paddle is entirely up to you:

• You can standup paddleboard (SUP), kayak, canoe, surfski, etc.
• You can go for a short paddle around your favorite lake or you can challenge yourself to paddle further than you ever have before.
• You can paddle alone or socially distanced out on the water with friends and family.

However you decide to participate, we encourage you get out on the water and experience the calming power of nature while you raise funds to protect it.

Virtual Paddle Competition

Due to COVID-19, we had to cancel this year's in person event in San Diego.

While we're sad to not be there in person with our great community of nature loving paddle enthusiasts, we'd like to recreate the friendly competition with our Virtual Paddle Competition which we can now open up to other paddle sports.

You can sign up for either a 5K course or a 10K course and use a fitness tracker to keep track of your time.

For those of Standup Paddleboarders, race director and SUP legend Anthony Vela is on board to share virtual training videos to get you race ready!

And as always, the funds you raise as part of this event will help protect our ocean, fresh water, forests and all living things.

REGISTER TODAY

When you register for WWF's Virtual Panda Paddle, you'll make a one-time donation of $25 and will receive a page on our website to raise funds and awareness for WWF's conservation work. Then between August 21–23, it's up to you! Choose a time and location to take to the water and paddle for a purpose.

FUNDRAISING HAS ITS PERKS

All registered Panda Paddle participants will receive a Panda Paddle race medal as a thank you for joining us for this virtual event. Fundraise to support our global conservation work and you'll also be eligible for these great thank you gifts!

FAQs

Is there a Panda Paddle event in San Diego this year?

Due to COVID-19, we have decided to cancel this year's San Diego event to ensure the safety of our participants, volunteers, sponsors and staff. While we'll miss seeing everyone in person this year, we hope the virtual paddle will be a way to keep this great community of nature loving SUP enthusiasts together! Be sure to share you paddle experience on social media using the hashtag #pandapaddle so the community can follow along!

How does the competitive paddle work?

When you sign up for the Virtual SUP Competition, you'll select the race distance you'd like to compete. Then on the event weekend, Aug 21–23, choose a day you'd like to paddle and use a fitness app to track your distance and time. Send a screenshot of your race results to PandaPaddle@wwfus.org by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on August 23 so we can tally the results!
