Welcome to my page, everyone! I am fundraising for the World Wildlife Fund by running in the United Airlines NYC Half on Sunday, March 20, 2022. This is my tenth plus half marathon overall, my third time running the NYC Half, my fifth time running for a charitable organization, but my first time running as a member of the Panda Nation.
For me, standing idle while polar bears starve, endangered species lose their natural habitats and the Amazon rainforest burns down is simply not an option. Try as you may to avoid the news, you cannot help but to witness the consequences of deforestation, climate change, water scarcity, and illegal wildlife trade. These are some of the threats facing our planet today, and while no one person or group can tackle them alone, we can all do our part to leave this planet in better shape for future generations and all creatures, great and small.
I choose to support the WWF because everyday, they are committed to protecting the very things that keep us alive: our forests, oceans, water and wildlife. I believe in their mission and nervous as I am (yes, after many half marathons, I still get very nervous before each run), I am proud to be running on behalf of, and fundraising for the WWF as a member of Panda Nation!
Thank you kindly for your donation and giving what you can; 100% of all donations will go directly to the WWF, so every penny helps!
