Paul's NYC Marathon for the Environment
Two years ago I ran the NYC Marathon for North Shore Animal League. We raised over $3k for that organization. It was an incredibly rewarding experience. This year the NYC Marathon turns 50 and so do I. I thought to myself, “what better way to celebrate than to run again for a cause.” Wait a minute….the thought of running 26.2 miles again does make me quiver with hesitation……do I really want to do this?......all the training….my knee and pinkie toe were achy the other day…..watching what I eat…..Krispy Kreme delivers now you know?….will another 75 year old fly by me during the race?......I should reconsider…….Ok. I’m back. All good. I am doing it. I made it to 50, so bring it on world!!!!!!!
I am a passionate environmental conservation advocate. A healthy planet benefits us all. It is worth protecting not just for ourselves, but for generations to come. It is our home to share, not dominate and abuse.
I am fundraising for World Wildlife Fund by running in the TCS New York City Marathon on November 1, 2020.
Deforestation, climate change, water scarcity, and illegal wildlife trade. These are some of the threats facing our planet today—and no one person or group can tackle them alone.
But if we work together, we can take on anything. That’s why every day, WWF works in unity with many people, partners, and institutions to achieve lasting conservation solutions.
You can be part of those solutions. You can protect the very things that keep us alive: our forests, our oceans, our fresh water, our wildlife, our energy supply, our food supply.
Your donation today will help make it possible to protect the future of nature.
Thank you for giving what you can. I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
