Running 100km to help the environment!
Or, download this form to mail in a donation.
Within the next three weeks, I will be running until I reach 100km in order to help the environment.
The World Wildlife Fund’s mission is to leverage sound science to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth. Through donations, WWF attempts to influence public policy to save nature and address larger global threats, such as deforestation, climate change, water scarcity, and illegal wildlife trade. They focus their work around six key areas: forests, marine, freshwater, wildlife, food, and climate. By linking these six areas in an integrated approach, WWF is able to direct its resources to protect vulnerable places, species, and communities worldwide.
I am doing this fundraiser because the goals of WWF align with my interests. Through my experience researching the global environmental crisis, it is clear that action is vital at this point. After years of denial from several organizations, important figures, and even the government, the effects are now no longer deniable; sea levels are rising, the Arctic is melting, coral reefs are dying, oceans are acidifying, lakes are drying out, and forests are burning. I chose to fundraise through WWF because 82% of their spending is directed to worldwide conservation.
I will continuously be updating my running distance on here as well! (see below)
Please join me in this important work by making a donation today. Thank you for giving what you can.
