The Amur Leopard is also known as the "Far East Leopard", the "Manchurian Leopard" or the "Korean Leopard". This breed of leopard lives 10-15 years in the wild and can live up to 20 years in captivity. The Amur Leopard is found in southeastern Russia and northern China and likes to live in forests and mountains. These leopards have a known population of over 84 remaining in the wild. The main threat for these leopards is illegal wildlife trade.
Fun Fact #1: Male Amur Leopards are known for sometimes staying with their mate and assisting in raising their offspring.
Fun Fact #2: Amur Leopards can leap more than 19 feet horizontally and over nine feet vertically.
