My name is Ellie. I am 9 years old and I go to Cedar Grove Elementary in Williamston, SC. We have a big problem in the world. People are killing elephants every day. This is a problem because people want elephant’s rare tusks. You may not think that’s bad but if you were an elephant you REALLY wouldn’t want to die would you? That is how these elephants feel. Did you know that elephants are almost extinct? There are only about 40,000 to 50,000 elephants in the world today. I know what you’re thinking, that’s so many. It’s really not. There are about 900 million dogs in the world today.
The two main threats to elephants are habitat destruction and human-elephant conflict. The most endangered animals in the world are elephants. I can’t do this by myself which is why I need your help. I am just a kid and I am trying to solve one of the biggest animal problems in the world. Elephants are such beautiful creatures and we are letting them die. We can kill as many elephants as we want but we can’t bring them back. Elephants could soon vanish from the face of earth. Imagine if elephants were extinct. Would you want that? Really think about it. This is extremely horrible!!! Do we really want to lose the world’s largest land animal?
My goal is $2,000 by May 25, 2023. WILL YOU HELP ME SAVE ELEPHANTS?
I am just a child, yet I am trying to make a difference, change our world for the good and keep the amazing Elephants alive. These are things that some grown-ups don’t even bother to do. I promise you, life is better with elephants. Please help me save the Elephants!!
THANK YOU!!!
Sincerely,
Ellie Payne
