Now more than ever, our planet needs human allies for protection from pressing threats – and that’s why we’ve taken a stand for nature by joining World Wildlife Fund’s Panda Paddle Virtual Event.
Panda Paddle is the first paddling event for a more balanced world. We're paddling in nature, for nature. We've named ourselves the "Water Bears" (also known as Tardigrades) because they are the earth's most resilient creature, living in extremely hot and cold (even on the moon) environments alike. They have even survived nuclear fission! We started the team in 2020 and saw the Pandemic as an opportunity to invest our time and money into what matters to us most- making the earth a more habitable place- both in terms of nature and social justice. We're starting with fundraising for World Wildlife Foundation because THERE IS NO PLANET B.
Each of our four years of the paddle, we have placed in the top two. In 2022, we were the top fundraising team, raising over $7000 for Nature.
From August 4-13, 2023, we will join with nature lovers from across the country as we all paddle on our favorite body of water in support of our planet. To do this, we need more than stamina – we need your support with a donation to our fundraising page. Please join us and let's get to #1 again!!
Conservation is the most important part of this race, and every dollar you provide/raise helps WWF address our planet’s interconnected challenges.
Thank you for helping us protect the natural world and all it gives.
UPDATE!! The WATER BEARS won the 2023 WWF Panda Paddle raising a record-breaking $10,534. Thank you to all our donors, Pro SUP shop for discounting our LA Paddle, and of course, to our tireless and resilient Water Bears who come back year after year to make our earth a better place for everyone.
