2022 WWF Panda Paddle fundraiser
On Aug. 19, 2022 I paddled 5K in 1 hour and 23 seconds on my iRocker inflatable paddleboard for the 2022 WWF Panda Paddle! Later that day, for fun, I added another 5.88 miles on the Huron River in Michigan in my Advanced Elements Advanced Frame inflatable kayak (mind you the back half was all up river!).
On Aug. 20, 2022, my friends and family helped push past our initial fundraising goal of $500 to raise $600 for wildlife conservation!
UPDATE: We did it! Your generosity has helped me reach my fundraising goal of $500 for wildlife conservation. I can't thank you enough for your help and your kindness!
Hello, friends! From August 12-21, I will join with nature lovers from all across the country as we paddle separately, but together, on our favorite bodies of water to participate in my 2nd World Wildlife Fund Panda Paddle virtual event.
I have a great love for animals, especially wolves and snow leopards which are both very vulnerable. I've been a supporter my local jewel Toledo Zoo as well as the Akron Zoo and those magnificent creatures in their care. I still regularly support the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center in Divide, Colo. which focuses on education, outreach, and conservation. The California Wolf Center that works especially with endangered Mexican Gray Wolves. I also like to support the Snow Leopard Trust.
Participating in the World Wildlife Fund Panda Paddle helps reach those animals on a more global scale; not to mention combining it with my love of paddling!
My first paddle was in 2020 and with your help I raised about $300. This year I'm hoping to make it to $500 to support the global conservation efforts of this amazing organization.
While I love any excuse to paddle, conservation is the most important part of this event, and every dollar you provide helps address our planet’s interconnected challenges.
I can't thank you enough for your generosity!
